Meet the artist behind the studio.

What is a Paint ’n Sip?

A Paint ’n Sip is a social night where you follow fun, step-by-step instructions in acrylic paint while sipping on a beverage — alcoholic or nonalcoholic. Pick a painting night from the online calendar, bring some friends, and enjoy an evening of laughter and cheering each other on as you each create your own masterpiece.

What's included in the ticket price?

  • Painting Supplies to use during the class (paint, brushes, apron, etc.)
  • 1 blank canvas, ready for you to make a painting all your own!
  • 1 complimentary beverage! We have options ranging from local Walla Walla Valley wines and mimosas* to non-alcoholic seltzers and more. (* mimosas must be requested before the event as juices are served fresh. Text 509 549-4346).

Meet Barb

Barb moved to Walla Walla in 1987 and made it her home. She started her family here and raised five kids in the area.

When she’s not in the studio, she loves gardening — flowers and vegetables both — taking the dog for a walk, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Barb is the owner, instructor, and curator of Brushes ’n Brix. What began as 10 paintings has grown into a library of over 300 that she loves sharing with all of you. She still paints at home too, though those pieces take weeks to finish and stay with her family.

She has worked with painters of every age, from 2 to 97, and finds real joy in helping kids and adults find their creative side and make each painting their own.

An animal lover through and through, Barb has rescued three dogs and four cats since opening the studio — and passed that love on to her kids.
